Curriculum taught during the school year is designed to align with the needs of teachers as they progress through their first few years of teaching in Pasadena ISD.

Building the Foundation
Before your first day in the classroom, RISE offers summer professional development opportunities that will support the foundational pieces necessary for creating an optimal learning environment. More specifically, classroom management, lesson design, assessment, and district-specific technology applications. These two courses are offered repetitively to new hires from June-August.

Technology Academy (Asynchronous Self-Paced Course): The RISE Technology Academy virtual course is designed to provide all new teachers to Pasadena Independent School District with the technological skills to navigate PISD specific software applications.
OPEN ENROLLMENT THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER: June 2 - August 31
New Teacher Boot Camp: Are you ready to tackle your first year of teaching for Pasadena ISD? Do you know where to start on day one? Join the RISE Team to build a game plan for your first day, week and month in the classroom. Leave prepared to enter your campus with tools for relationship building, setting up your classroom, developing procedures, and preparing your mindset as a classroom leader!
